I am using MLA format, and I need to cite a quote that's printed on the cover of a book. It's by an author other than the author of the book, exclaiming their support for the book.

  2. No standard answer for this that I know of. The purpose of a citation is to enable the reader of a paper to locate the quoted material. I imagine that the below would be an adequate bibliographical entry for F. Scott Fitzgerald's puff of Schulberg's novel. The bracketed material should be used if the original jacket is very scarce or hard to locate, since jackets are often considered ephemera.]

Yahoo answers doesn't let one indent, but follow MLA guidelines for indenting.

Fitzgerald, F. Scott, quoted on dust wrapper of Schulberg, Budd. _What Makes Sammy Run?_ New York: Random House, 1941. [Location: Huntington Library, Huntington, California.]
