How do i clean a Build-a-bear....?

Question

My sisters bear needs some cleaning and i dont want to get it damaged if i throw it in the washer.....so what is the best way to clean one..?

*it has an oil stain on its face...

How do I clean my bear?

If your bear needs a spot cleaning, we offer a Bear Stuff® cleaner available in-store or on our website that you spray on and wipe with a clean cloth, air dry and then brush the cleaned area.

If your bear needs more than a spot cleaning, and does NOT contain a sound inside and is not battery operated you can place the bear inside a pillow case and knot the case closed, machine wash on gentle cycle in cold water with mild soap and let the bear air dry. If your bear does contain a sound inside you can go to a Build-A-Bear Workshop store to have the sound removed before washing

This is off the website and then on another part it says not to wash it.  that makes sence.

don't put it in the washer..trust me you wont like the result of that! =]

it will mess up..because i have done that...but in the store they should sell some cleaning items.

Or just clean it with a cloth and some mild soap.

How do I clean my furry friend or doll?

If your furry friend or doll needs cleaning, simply wipe with wet cloth or surface wash with Bear Stuff Cleaner® and then air dry.

Our animals should not be washed in the washing machine or submersed in water, because the stuffing can expand when soaked, causing the animal's seams to pop open. In addition, if your furry friend has a sound box, the sound would most likely become damaged if submersed in water.

If you do not wish to purchase the Bear Stuff Cleaner, we suggest using a mild soap and washcloth to surface clean the animal, and then let it air dry
