i just recently added it to my tank with my male betta.

the frog has jumped out of my tank before!

i just saw it on the ground hopping around!

and its an in closed filtered tank but where the little hole where the filter is, is where it jumped out of.

so how would i clean it without the frog jumping out. it is almost impossible to catch in the tank it swims to fast!

  1. I have a dwarf frog myself and I just take him out of my tank place him in a bucket well one of two buckets for my fish while I use the other for cleaning.

  2. like you would with any other fishtank. if necessary, get a big, fineflyscreen (not designed for your doors, i think it's to cover food) and drape this over the top and when you are vacuming the gravel. here's a handy checklist for you:

    DAILY:

remove and uneaten food with a fish net

check the health of all your fish

check the temperature of your aquarium water using an aquarium thermomiter. you can buy glass ones with suction caps that go inside your tanks or stick-on ones that are like stickers you put on the outside of the tank glass.

check all electrical items are working properly eg. filters, air& water pumps, lights etc.

    EVERY 7-14 DAYS:

change 20-25% of the tank water

trim back plants and remove any dead or dying leaves or stems

if you have a siphon, siphon solid matter from the tank bottom. you can purchase siphons from your LFS (local fish store)

clean the front glass to remove algae

wipe over cover glasses and condensation trays so that light can pass through them

MONTHLY (or more often if needed)

    clean filters

check airstones and renew if partially blocked

    vacuume the gravel

    EVERY 6-12 MONTHS

service air pumps and power filter motors

    replace lighting tubes

    replace airstones and airline

clean any plastic plants of algae with a stiff brush under a running tap

    hope this helped :)

  3. Get the frog, be persistant, and put it in an icecream container with a little bit of tank water in it and close the lid, just don't tank too long and forget about the frog lolz. Maybe get some fine mesh to cover up the filter hole?

  4. very carefully...
