How do i clean a vinyl cover on a camping trailer..?

It has been left outside for a couple of years and is covered in mould and is very dirty.Would a solution of bleach and hot soapy help or is there a product available that will do the job.

  1. the best product is PVC window cleaner that looks like a white goo that you scrub on then polish off! (available all DIY stores) or failing that ceramic hob cleaner (Sainsbury and lakeland)

    bleach often wont clean the grime or embedded muck.  after you do the PVC cleaner any stubborn algae can be removed using dettol mould remover (green spray bottle) spray onto surface on warm sunny day and leave!


  2. hot soapy water a sponge oh and plenty of elbow grease

  3. First I wash with a good soapy cleaner, using a brush in a circular motion mostly.  Then , if there are trouble spots, bit of stain, I use a mild water/bleach solution with the brush.  Follow that by a really good rinse, dont want the bleach to sit overlong.

    Have you tried any commercial vinyl cleansers from the Auto stores? VIP has a good one.
