How do i clean/maintain my Double Eagle M83 airsoft gun?

I was just owndering this is my first baby and i want it to last awhile, sites/vids/pics on directions gladly appprciated.

Three things to do:

1. before putting it away fire a shot on semi to reseat the piston head and take tension off the spring.

2. Spray Silicon Lubricant (non-petroleum based, no WD40) dowh the barrel and into the BB Feed point.  Wipe up any excess.  After lubing it fire a few rounds to get the excess lube out.

3. Using a .22 cal cleaning kit, run a cleaning patch gently down the barrel.  Repeat with new patches until it comes out clean.  Relube the barrel.

That should do it.

As far as the smart charger. make sure it can handle low mAh batteries like the 500mAh battery that came with your M83.  most smart chargers are only safe for 1000mAh and up.
