  1. I have successfully washed mine with detergent and a little bleach in cold water.  They may have shrunk 1/4 inch but I had room for that anyway.  Air dry them in the sun. The sun also will kill bacteria. If your shoes are already on the small side, then I would go to a store and get special cleaner.

  2. Things You’ll Need:

    An old toothbrush

    A fan

    A fork

    Dish detergent

    Oxi Clean

    Laundry detergent

    Fabric softener

    Step1

Inspect the soles of your shoes for gum, dirt, or other objects picked up in your travels. Use the tine of a fork to remove these items.

    Step2

Look at the sides of the soles of your tennis shoes to check for ground in dirt. If there is quite a bit of dirt, use an old toothbrush and brush back and forth until most of it is removed. If necessary, put a little dish-washing detergent on the bristles of the toothbrush.

    Step3

Loosen the shoelaces and lift the tongue of the shoe to expose as much of the inside as possible.

    Step4

Put the shoes into the washing machine with similarly colored clothing. Add a scoop of Oxi Clean, your normal detergent, and fabric softener. Set your washing machine on the normal settings that you would use for the color of clothing placed in the load with the tennis shoes.

    Step5

Remove the shoes when the cycle is complete. Inspect the shoes for any remaining dirty spots. If you find some areas that are not as clean as you would like, repeat step one. If you repeat step one, rinse the dish soap off before continuing.

    Step6

Open the shoes up by lifting the tongue and loosening the laces to expose as much of the inside of the shoe as possible. Place the shoes under a fan for several hours, possibly even overnight. Don’t forget to turn the fan on medium speed.

    Step7

Tighten your laces up and put the tongue back down where it belongs.

    Tips :

If your shoes are especially dirty, soak them in a bucket of water and Oxi Clean for several hours before putting them in the washing machine.

If your shoes smell badly, add half a cup of Simple Green or Odor Ban to the load of laundry.

  3. i just put in the washer like laundry, don't know about the expensive ones$.

  4. This may sound funny- but put them in the washing machine with a little detergent.  DON'T put them in the dryer though. Instead, you need to let them air dry (put a fan on them or something).

if you have scuffs on th leather parts, try using some shoe polish that matches the leather color (white, black, brown...) that you can pick up from walmart or k-mart or target.

use a damp wash clothe and dish or hand soap on the plastic parts.

  5. what the h**l was sugar candy talking about lol if they are leather you don't want to put them in the wash cause they will shrink a bit i've seen other people do it and they were fine so i guess you could i just don't like to i use this stuff in a silver can i got it from the place i buy my shoes at it works great it's a foam you just spray it on and let it sit for a few secs and then wipe it off it works amazingly!!! hope you can find it i'd tell you the name of it but i used it up a month ago or so and threw out the can i need to get more :D good luck hey i found a way to clean the white rubber on the side of your shoes take a light sand paper maybe even a nail file would work and sand off the dirt cause that stuff never comes off lol atleast for me it doesn't :D good luck i hope i helped :D
