  1. Get a steam mop. Best invention since sliced bread!!!!

  2. U can use a steamer

  3. Bleach works every time on stains, use neat with a damp mop, spread it out well, leave for 5 min, make sure its well ventilated because the fumes can be rather strong, don't let anyone walk on it until you finish rinsing, good luck hope this helps.

  4. If the grout between the tiles is the problem, you can always regrout; I did this in my bathroom, because the grout had years of staining, mostly hard water stains.

You have to remove about 1/16" of the old grout with a grout scraping tool - they don't cost much (<$5) and then you smear the new grout into the grooves.

Interestingly, as I smeared the new grout on/in, it had the added effect of cleaning the old tiles, especially as I did each step (wiping with a damp sponge, and then wiping with a soft dry cloth).

The tiles in the shower and on the floor were clean, and the grout was white!

  5. Try a pressure washer.  You can rent one.

  6. Try Cilit Bang

  7. Get a toothbrush and mix some baking soda into a paste. You may want a cheap electric toothbrush to make things easier. This should help buff out any unwanted stained porous tiles. Next I would try maybe the new bleach pen or smilar product to rewhiten as much as possible. Let soak in for a while. Some things are just too old.
