use alcohol wipes or bleach spray and wipe them down.

Use Isopropyl Alcohol 70% solution.  This is the common type you can purchase at any drugstore/supermarket/department store

The best solution to clean pool balls is using about 2- 3 cap full bleach n about 6 litres of water, soak them for about 5 mins n then wipe excess water off.

use warm slightly soapy water and a soft cloth

no idea what to do if the balls are stained though

i use oxy or clearasil pads they seem to wor the best

soap and wter, they are plastic, unless very old, then they are probably ivory and can be cleaned with soap and water as well
