How do i clean the carbs on a Yamaha fzr600?

what am i looking for when i remove the fairings and what would be the best way to clean or would it be best to get a local garage to do the work

    you might be better off taking your bike to a shop

    what makes you think your carbs need cleaning?


  2. just done a set...fairly strait faward...of with the tank/filters etc...only realthing to worry about is removing the carb bottoms,some are screws some allen bolts,some are tight...remove float bowls,unscrew the jets 1 at a time and blow out with comp air...not forgetting the idel jets[small strait s***w...do all then refit....sorted.

  3. throw a bottle of carb cleaner in the tank n' run it out w/ gas then repeat....if that doesn't help then you might need to re-jet the bike or tune the carbs at a dealershop / bike shop
