  1. Use baking soda and vinegar and a toothbrush put the baking soda on the light then vinegar and brush it.

  2. There is a product on the market called Flitz that works very well to polish metals and plastics. Flitz compound comes in a large tooth paste sized tube. Flitz also makes a softball sized Italian felt flap wheel to do the hard work of polishing. It's driven in a 3/8 battery or electric drill motor.

We've saved many plastic headlight lenses using these products.

  3. Go to Pep Boys or Autozone or something similar, and look for Maguires Plastix.  It's a white bottle with a black top and it's meant for this...I use it everytime I wash my car.

  4. Advanced Auto sells a product for cleaning headlights

  5. It's not that hard. Get some super fine sandpaper 1000 or 1500 grit, wet sand the the lens lightly with the hose running water over it, repeat 'til you feel that most of the oxidized plastic has been removed, use a polishing compound and buff, add a wax to protect it. I do mine once a year.

  6. try vinigar and the wipe dry with newspaper.

  7. You really cannot. The plastic has oxidized and fogged all the way through. I have seen people try with steel wool and then spray with clear coat aerosol with limited success. There are kits that you can buy for acrylic aircraft windshields but this is a very labour intensive process. And there is still the issue of how to repair the inside of the lens.

  8. Try Bicarb of soda, Vinegar and some lemon juice :)

  9. There is a cleaner kit but doesn't work. You're gonna have to buy new if it's concerning you.

  10. if the headlight assembly is made of glass, then use vinegar and water, 1/2 and 1/2 mix...... if it is plastic, there is no way to clean it, as suggested by an answer before me, the oxidation doesn't only affect the surface, it goes all the way through.  Try a salvage yard for a cheap replacement, and keep windex and armor all away from your headlights from now on.

  11. get that stuff guy #1 said and then some really, really fine sandpaper. itll be brand new
