  1. If you just wish to clear the information from your searches on search engines (rather than all of the auto-complete information), go to the search engine and double-click on the text field where you enter what you are searching for. This will bring up the master list of all the keywords / phrases you have searched for. Highlight the 1st item on the list and hold the delete key down. This will delete all of the items on the list. This works for both Yahoo and Google.

If you wish to clear out all of the auto-complete information your browser has stored, then:

    Internet Explorer 6:

Go to Tools --> Internet Options.

Select the "Content" tab and click on the "AutoComplete" button.

Then click on the "Clear Forms" button and that will delete the history.

    Firefox 2 and Netscape 9:

press Ctrl + Shift + Del and select "Saved form and search history" and click on "Clear Private Data Now" button.

    Hope this helps

  2. You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem:

For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

  3. on your web page top row, click on history, and clear it - here u can also set for how many days the history may be kept  - the default is 20 days - u can type in zero. Also through Tools, go to

Options and you can clear history and temporary internet files !
