How do i clear web history on a windows vista?

My friend went on my computer and started watching p**n videos and i dont want my mom to find out, so please tell me how i can clear this history?? im on a windows vista and i have it in my start menu and link box.... ugh please??!?

open your browser. click tools in the upper left hand corner, then clear private data. then check all the boxes to be safe

ok well if its under your start menu...under recent documents correct?

ok well if it is then (i hope you do hw on that comp) open up a bunch of documents  and resave them all or pictures whatever..but for the documents just hit ctrl + s then that should movethem out of you recent documents

second open up your browser....firefox? hit ctrl shift delete all at the same time and click clear private data now... that should delete your temporary files as well

IE---if u have internet explorer then hit ctrl h ...go to the sidebar that pops up and select view....by date right click the folders and select delete or just go to folder options and hit delete history and set the days it keeps your history to 0

i dunno what you mean by link if you mean your history ten you already took care of it....

In internet explorer you go to Tools on the top right hand corner. Then hit "Clear browsing history..." Under that you look at the bottom and hit clear all and do not delete data stored by add-ons.

Why did you let your friend look at p**n?

Internet Explorer 7+: Go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Delete (under Browsing History) --> Delete All --> OK.

Mozilla Firefox: Got oTools --> Clear Private Data --> Check all boxes --> Clear Private Data Now.

I have a brother that use to do that a lot. So go into favorites center then go into history and right click the "today" or the day that the p**n videos are in and delete them.

Here is what you do if you have internet explorer:

open up internet explorer, click on tools, and then in the drop down menu click on "delete browsing history". Make sure you click on the button "delete history". You may want to click on "delete forms" too. You may choose to delete files and cookies too, but that isn't nescecary, as they won't cause any visible evidence (i.e. if you don't clear cookies it's not like when you start typing in www.s it won't automatically type in www.s*x.com). Also you may not want to click on "delete all" because then all your saved passwords will be forgotten.

here is what you do if you have Firefox (which is better than internet explorer):

open up firefox. click on tools, and then in the drop down menu click on "clear private data". Put a check mark in "browser history" and "saved form and search history", it is not nescecary to put a check mark in any of the other boxes. Click the button "clear private data now".

If you...uh I mean your friend...watched any videos you may also need to clear the history of windows media player or whatever program was used to watch the video in.

A really good program that is for free and easy to use is ccleaner. It gives you the options to clear all the history and that kind of stuff. You can download it from here:

Oh yeah and one more thing, you need to be on the same account as the p**n was viewed on.

one more thing, if you pardon me asking, I suspect your friend is a guy? Am I right in this assumption?

Go to the top of the tool bar and click on tools, open it up and there will be a list of things you can remove. It will say delete browsing history. That,s what you click on.

i have windows vista as well so i will help you

1) open the control panel from the start menu (click the little flag inside the cirle on the far left botton corner)

2) click network and internet (not the links beneath)

3) under internet options (dont click the actual link "internet options" unless you are unable to see the following link just under it) there should be a link that says "delete browsing history and cookies"

4) click the link "delete browsing history and cookies"

5) a small screen should pop uo, and you should see where it says browsing history.

6) under browsing history, press delete, follow any prompts that it says and then voila, porno deleted lol

also check out the other tabs about security, privacy, content. they should aid you in making sure this doesnt happen again with the porno.
