  1. Your hair is dark brown....which  isn't going to color well using anything at home. Blondes do have more fun when it comes to that.

You can try peroxide, but it won't be pretty....unless you think orange hair is pretty. oh, and definitely not temporary.

You could try unsweetened Kool-Aid. Pick a some packets in the color of your choice....red, blue or purple would probably be your best bet. Mix up a paste and give yourself some colorful highlights. or you could try this...

    Ingredients

    1 package Kool-Aid, unsweetened

    6 cups water

    paper towels

    plastic wrap

    Directions

1Be very sure to use UNSWEETENED.

2Mix one packet of Kool-Aid with the water in a pot.

    3Heat until boiling, stirring.

4Remove from heat and cool to a temperature that is warm but not hot.

5Dip as much hair as possible into the mix.

6Then, with your head over the pot, ladle the kool-aid over the hair.

    7Do this for 15 minutes.

8Wring out hair and pat dry with paper towels.

9Don't wrap in a towel as it will absorb too much colour.

10At this point you could wrap your hair in plastic wrap and leave overnight or for several hours.

    11Then, uncover and let dry.

12After it dries, rinse repeatedly, shampoo and condition.

13Note: The excess colour may stain your skin.

14Smear petroleum jelly on exposed skin.

15Even if staining occurs, it will scrub off.

  2. Try lemon.

Or try a cool vinegar rinse - makes hair shiney.

  3. That's hilarious!  You want to color your hair but you don't want to use any chemical products you have to buy?  What are you going to do, use mouthwash or red beans and rice mix????

Actually, you can use Kool Aid.  Not sure exactly how to do it, though.

  4. Lemon juice will make it blonde. U could do that or streak it with lemon juice. Then lay in the sun for a few hours and it'll lighten up.

  5. It is possible to "dye" your hair using natural products but the results can be sketchy.  For example, you can "dye" your hair a reddish shade using beets or "dye" your hair dark brown using strong tea.  You basically take the item say beets (buy fresh) and then cook and make a paste and put on your hair.  Then rinse off. I would "seal" the color with a rinse of white vinegar. Then condition like crazy.

If you are really into doing this naturally, go to your local health foods store and check the health & beauty aisle and talk to a clerk.

Even a "rinse in" product can leave residue and change the color of your hair until it grows out.
