  1. you don't go to them with it. most parents will be in denial. have your teacher go to them. tell your teacher you don't know how to approach your parents and ask him/her to do it for you, and have the teacher explain that you asked him/her to do it. that will open the door for discussion.  your teachers are usually quite good at detecting the symptoms of add. I can tell you that meds will, usually make a world of difference.

  2. i don't really know what it means that "i have add like my teachers"

  3. You don't if the teacher wants your parents to know, they will tell them. And, I find it strange that like everyother kid in the USA has ADD. (Not saying you don't) But they can concentrate on videogames for hours, and not school work.

Haha. hope I helped you a little.

    Help me? :]

  4. WHAT????

  5. jsut be like

    "mom? i think i have a problem,

its not that bad, but it is a problem,

    i have add"

  6. Next time type it like this "A.D.D." it will save time.

And if you wait a while, you won't care about it anymore.

A lot of youngsters are misdiagnosed with A.D.D. when they are really just bored with their schoolwork. There should be tests to help you find out more about it. Do a google search and see what you find.

And finally, if you have read to the end of this message, you probably don't have add.

  7. Just sit them down, and tell them that your teachers think you may have ADD or ADHD. It should be a comfortable conversation to have, because there are medicines to help you with this. My nephew has ADHD. I just think, that if your teachers and others suspect you may have it, talk to your parents about it soon! Set up a visit with the doctor. It is nothing they will be mad at you for, if that is what you are worried about.

  8. just ask you parents if they think you act like you got it then just tell them what your friends said

  9. Just say it, if it's affecting your school work they should be able to help you. Or even ask the school counselor or your teacher to contact your parents. Having ADD is not something to be ashamed about...a lot of ppl have it.

  10. It shouldnt be that big of a deal, just tell'em wat ur teachers say, and on top of that if it doesnt effect ur school work just ignore it all together...

  11. It's not as difficult as you may think..although they may shoot you down, like my mom does..because she refuses to think that something could be wrong with her perfect daughter.

just tell them how you feel, what goes on with you, and what your teachers and other people tell you.

ask them to go see a doctor about it, because there is no way of knowing for sure without having it diagnosed, i'm sure there is, but just to get the medication you would need.

I hope all is well for you.

Just bring it up in a casual conversation, or gather information about it, and confront them about it..maybe just have them sit down with you and share what you want to say..

If this is important to you, It's important to them.
