  1. Sorry James, I think there's a better way...

Actually, if you have a sub that has a "LFE in" and a "LFE out,"  you can definitely run the LFE out from your receiver, and "Daisy Chain"  the 2nd sub, and then run it to the Bose AM10 sub.  The Bose Acoustimass Subwoofers are very muddy in bass, and do not do well below the 50 htz range.  I can understand why you want a 2nd one!

I've sold a few subwoofers to customers who installed a Bose system already in the wall, have a separate AV receiver, and wanted to get more bass out of their system..

Bose is very picky in their setup in that they want to have everything proprietary in their setup.

Also, have you set your Harman Kardon to "Full" instead of "Small" on the receiver setup?  Bose has all of the speakers hooked up first thru their Acoustimass Sub, then it gets routed to the speakers.  They do this because the tiny cube speakers create no bass, and when your receiver is set to "Full"  you get the response Bose speakers are designed for.   Try it!

  2. You can't if your receiver has only one subwoofer out, which is the norm. You'd be better suited upgrading your existing sub than adding another (truly). The location matters more than the number, it's only delivering bass... quality is better than quantity here. good luck
