How do i connect Two (2) dual voice coil subs to a 2 channel amp?

I have the Power Acoustiks Fubar series some information about the subs : Dual 4 ohm voice coil

* 1800 watts power handling

* 800 Watts RMS

* 200 oz. magnet

* 2¡± BASV voice coil

* SPL 91 dB

* Fs: 36 Hz

* Vas: 1.91 cu.ft.

* Qms: 5.71 ? Qes: 0.502 ? Qts: 0.462

* Xmax: 0.4"

* Tuning: 40Hz

* Port Size: 4¡±(dia)x8.75¡±(length)

* # of ports:1

* Mounting Depth: 6.25¡±

I just would like know to the the proper way of connecting them, remember my amp is only 2 channels........ i had a 4 channel amp. but im guessing i had it connected wrong and, well, poof... that was 800 watts 4 channel amp... now i have a different amp, same watts 800 just its 2 channels..... Thanx in advance...Any tips or ideas or any info that can help would be greatly appreciated... thank U ^_^

  1. Here is a link to a diagram that make it easy to understand. Use wiring option #1 for dual 4ohm voice coils wired in parallel. Just run a wire between the two positive terminal on the back of the woofer and do the same for the negatives. Then connect the woofer like to the amp like normal.


  2. well if you have a 800 watt amp that is 2 channel then no worries! Thar are 4 prongs on each sub so what you do is run a wire from the (+) side on one side of the sub and connect it to the (-) on the other side. now you have only 2 prongs left and you run those to the amp and do the same to the other sub.
