  2. Sorry, but your question doesn't make sense. What exactly are you tying to do?

At a guess I assume that you have an outside light, an outside switch, an inside switch (for the 2-way circuit) and you want to power the lot from a plug fitted to a 13A socket.

If that's the case then you need a length of 3-phase (3 core+earth flat) cable; two 2-way light switches; 1" deep patress boxes for the switches; a length of 2 core+earth flat cable; a length of 3-core round flex; some connection blocks; some gree/yellow sleeving and a 13A plug with a 5A fuse in it. You will also need some conduit to protect the outside wire from the elements.

You can get the lot from B&Q or somewhere similar

Wire up the plug in the usual fashion and take the lead to the patress box for the inside switch. Connect Brown to the switch Common terminal; Blue and Earth go to one of the connector blocks (one each).

Get the 4-core+earth cable and connect brown and grey to the other two terminals on the switch. Connect blue to the connector block with the blue flex and sheath the bare conductor with a length of the green/yellow sleeve then connect to the Earth connector block.

At the other two-way switch you do the reverse. Connect brown and grey to the L1 and L2 terminals on the switch; connect blue to a connector block and the slip a green/yellow sleeve over the bare conducor and connect that to another connector block.

Take your twin+earth flat cable and connect the brown wire to the switch's Common terminal connect the blue wire to the 'blue' connector block and then sheath the bare conductor with a length of green/yellow sleeve and connect to the 'earth' connector block.

The other end of this may be connected to the outside lamp's bulb holder. Remember to connect the earth all the way through.

It seems complex but if you follow it through it's logical. Good luck.

  3. If you have to ask you shouldn't be doing it!

Electricity is dangerous and should not be messed with especially when you are using it outdoors, please just get an electrian to have a look at, you may think its expensive (I would say to have a light installed should only be around 50 - 60 pound) but its cheaper than the consequences if you try it and it goes wrong.

  4. Your question suggests you don't know much about wiring.

    outside + rain + electricity = R.I P.

    [Get an electrician].

  5. (very) carefully :-)

I assume that 'outside' means 'exposed to the elements' (i.e. wind & rain) .. so, if it is not fitted correctly, water will get into the fittings and fuse your house circuits ...

I assume you are not a qualified electrician == I suggest you employ some-one who is ..
