  1. After you connect it to the Tuner, start Windows Media center

    (press the Green button)

In WMC, go to Setup TV and it will guide you through.

  2. Hi

May be able to help, but difficult without more details about your TV & cable box.

By 'tv working,' do you mean you want to have the PC screen image up on the TV screen? Or the cable TV image on the PC?

In the first case, your cable box would need to have a VGA input, as I don't think there's a straight video output on the TouchSmart (only mini VGA I believe, but check this is your user guide). In the second situation, which I'm presuming is what you want to do, check on the back of the cable box. Does it have a port marked 'S-Video out' (or similar wording) and 'line out' - which should hopefully one red & one white socket (right & left audio channels). If so, the TouchSmart has corresponding inputs on the left hand side and front. Connect RCA cables (red & white (R & L) audio out) from the cable box into the 'line in' of the TouchSmart. Connect the S-Video cable and all should work in the live TV area in media center - hard again without seeing what exact configuration you have. It's possible that if you don't have the connectors above as outputs from your cable box, you have them on your TV (the cable box plugs into the TV, and the TV routes the audio and video signal out to the PC).

    Hope this helps. good luck!
