How do i connect my dell inspiron 1525 with Blu-ray player to my Lexsor LC32M5SNHD ready TV?

I've just recently got a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I want to connect it to our HD ready Lexsor TV to make use of the blu-ray dvd player, but I'm not sure how?

Look at page 13 of the TV's manual.  There you will see instructions for connecting the VGA output and audio to the D-sub input on the television.  Probably not what you had in mind.  I can't see a way to connect the HDMI output to the TV in a way that preserves the high-def information.
