  1. You can do it in two ways:

    1. You can use external hard drive to transfer your data to other computer.

2.Using a cross cable connection - Use a cross cable connection to transfer files from 1 computer to the other. This is very good a I'm using it when I transfer lots of video files to our digital server where I can only transfer using the ethernet port. How to do that?

    Follow this steps.

    1. Get a cross cable

    2. Configure your TCP/IP settings.Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network Connections>Right click Local Area connection>Properties>Under General, drag down until you reach Internet Protocol(TCP/IP). Click Properties. On the 1st computer, put an IP address like 192.168.1.2. On the subnet mask, 255.255.255.0. Do not put a Gateway or DNS. On the second computer, just do the same but you have to change the IP of the 2nd computer to 192.168.1.3

    3. Connect to cross cable to each ethernet port.

    4. Try to ping each computer by going to Start>Run>type cmd.OK. On the first computer, type ping 192.168.1.3(on the other computer, type ping 192.168.1.2). It should have a Reply. It should not have a reply of Request Time Out. If you received this Request Timeout, disable the windows firewall or any personal firewall in each computer.

    5. Share the drive on each computer in which your file is.To share, Right click the drive and click File and Sharing. Then click Share this drive....

    6. You want to copy the file from first computer to the second computer rgiht? To do this, on the 2nd computer,go to Start>Run>type "\\192.168.1.2" without quotes. The 192.168.1.2 is the IP address of your first computer where you copy the files. If you have no trouble about the pinging, the drive that you have shared should appear after typing it. Then, browse your files you want to copy and wait until finish.
