How do i connect my panasonic pt ax200u to my cable box to ge the best picture?

  1. It depends what outputs are available on the cable box.

    HDMI is best (cable box> A/V receiver > projector or, if you want to go direct take HDMI > projector AND optical (or digital coax) to A/V receiver), and if HDMI is not available on the cable box use component > projector AND optical (or digital coax) to A/V receiver.

    If you don't have either HDMI or Component, change to an HD cable box (which you should have anyway if you want more than SD television). You won't like SDTV on the PT AX200 -- you would be wasting the projector if not using HD programming.

    If you use HDMI and the distance from cable box to projector (including through A/V receiver if you hook up that way) is more than about 15 ft make sure you have a good HDMI cable. I recommend Blue Jeans (See link), but there are other good ones. You don't need Monster though (overpriced).
