How do i connect my ps2 (fat one) to the internet?

i have a wireless router, network adapter, 2 Ethernet cables, and the phone cable thing

i do not have the start up disc cause i bought the network adapter alone

connect the internet cable to the internet port on the adapter, the other end to the router... after that, go into an online compatible game and click on go online, will take you to a new screen where it will test dns and your connection, after you create an account there the game will restart, go back to online and you will have to make a new account for that game...
