How do i connect my wireless internet to my second computer which is Windows 2000 Professional?

I have a Windows XP computer on my main floor which i have a DSL modem for. To export my connection i have a router which i bought to get internet to my wii and stuff, but i dont know how to get that connection to register with my windows 2000 upstairs in my room. help?

Does the Windows 2000 computer have a wireless network adapter?  If not, then you need to get one for it, and if so, you need to ensure that the card is properly installed and has the proper drivers loaded, and that the network properties for the card are set to the same network as the router.
