What do you mean by connect?

Do you mean how do you sign in to Yahoo Groups?  If so, then go to the Yahoo Groups home page ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ).  Then click on the Sign In link at the top-middle of the page (or the small Sign Up link just below it if you don't yet have a Yahoo ID).  Then follow the directions on the resulting page.

Do you mean how do you join Yahoo Groups?  If so, then you first need to find some Yahoo Groups to join.  Sign in to the Yahoo Groups home page ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ).  From here, you have two choices.

(1) If you want to search for some Yahoo Groups about a particular hobby or other interest of yours, then type that hobby or interest into the box just below Find A Yahoo Group.  Then click the large Search button just to the right of that box.  Then look over the search results you get.  If you find a Group that sounds interesting enough (good enough) to you to join, then click on its name in the search results.

(2) If you can't think of any word or phrase to search for, then you can browse the Groups in a particular category by clicking the category under Browse Groups that sounds like it would be most likely to have Groups you want to join.  If you want to browse a sub-category, then click on the sub-category in the right-hand column that sounds like it would be most likely to have Groups you want to join.  Note that future sub-categories are listed towards the top of the page.  At any time in this process after you've picked your main category, you can click on the name of a Group that sounds interesting enough (good enough) to you for you to join it (instead of picking a sub-category).

After you've clicked on the name of a Group, it will take you to the Group's home page.  Then you can click the Join This Group box on the right-hand side of the page to join it.  Then follow the directions on the resulting page.
