  1. its all in the hand control...keep hands steady and practic hitting the cue ball in the certain spots

  2. With a real cue,use your bridge hand to form a steady base.

Learn a few different bridges for different situations and shots.Your back arm is going to do the rest. Practice developing a straight stroke with a nice follow through.

Keep your upper arm steady and bend at the elbow creating a pedulum effect. Try not to drop your elbow.

If you are referring to some video/online game, try the appropriate section for asking those questions. Or better yet, put down the mouse and go find a pool room. Discover the real thing, and how it cant be duplicated by any tech geek. :)

  3. Good answer by Ram, but I think the more you play the better control you have. It is a matter of practice, and experience,

I don't think anyone learned how to control Q, by listening to someone else. yes you can take tips, but practice is the best teacher.

I have seen people trying to shoot and the stick gets stuck on their fingers. this cannot be solved even with chalk, it is a matter of knowing how to hold the stck, stroke it, without it goin back and forth, as it will when it's stuck on your fingers.

I hold the Q with index finger surrounding the Q over the middle finger, in a position where it just glides through there.

Other fingers and thumb, is the stand, or base, and at times can be used as a bridge. It is very steady.

  4. I would suggest taking an empty 2 liter soda bottle and lay it down on its side. Practice daily stroking the cue in and out of the bottles opening without touching the bottle. Do 100 strokes daily and this will teach you to use a straight smooth stroke
