  1. 60 * 1000/3600

  2. There are exactly 1,000 meters in 1 kilometer and 3,600 seconds in 1 hour. To convert km/hr into m/s, multiply by (1000 / 3600).

    60 km/hr x (1000 / 3600) = 17 m/s

  3. 60km/hr *1000m/km = 60,000m/hr

    60,000 m/hr / 3600 sec per hr = 16.67 m/s

  4. There's 1000 meters in a kilometer.

    1000 m = 1 km

    1000 m / 1 km = 1

There are 3600 (60 times 60) seconds in an hour.

    3600 s = 1 hr

    3600 s / 1 hr = 1

All you have to do is multiply or divide the original value by one. Except instead of just "1", you write one as "1000m/1km" or "3600s/hr".

    So,

    60 km/hr  * 1000m / 1km  = (60*1000) m/hr

    * 1hr / 3600s (we reversed that one because hr is already on the bottom, and we want to make it cancel out) = (60*1000/3600) m/s.
