You may try movavi dvd burner, it can help you convert ntsl dvd to pal dvd. My friends recommend it to me, it works nice. here is a guide about it

do you mean ntsc? the american standard?

i would play it on your pc and convert it to region free using dvd shrink

I doubt its the ntsc that is the problem, it;s more likely to be the region thing! in the uk it has to be region 2

for a 1 off, you can change the region setting on your dvd

drive and then change it back again - but beware trhere are a limited number of times you can do this before the drive is region locked
