How do i convert my 24-speed mtb into single speed?

I have a dirt jumping mtb and i want to convert it into a single speed because i realized that single speed bikes take more abuse and don't skip gears when you land.

I would shorten the chain to fit the gear of your choice.

Just do not go thru the rear derailleur.

You can take off the derailleurs or just leave them on.

Remember to save all the parts if you remove them,

chain included.

That way it can be restored back to a 24 speed.
