  1. I would write an essay about homeschooling.  Include why you think it would be beneficial to you, the requirements for homeschooling in your state (http://www.HSLDA.org).  You might also include statistics such as the fact that homeschoolers tend to score higher on ACT/SAT exams.

It could give you a boost too-many homeschoolers do dual enrollment where they take college classes at their local community college that can count towards both high school and college.  They complete high school with some college credits already acrued.  In some states, the state will pay for those college classes (even if you are a homeschooler).

A high school aged student can complete most of their lessons themself, with the parent acting more like a facilitator than a teacher.  If they are scared of the actual teaching, their are programs you can do as a homeschooler that still give you access to a teacher to help you with any trouble you have.

I hope this helps, and wish you the best!  I think homeschooling is great, but without your parents it is not going to be possible.  Do your best to get them on board!

  2. How about you do research on the internet and let them know what you hve found. They may be impressed with your enthusiasm and drive to move toward homschooling. Check out pacificview org for more information as well.

  3. I'm in homeschool, tell them that it gets you away from "bad kids", and that it will be easier to stay focused because you are without distraction. My grades have gotten sooo much better since i started homeschool

  4. If I were in your situation I think I would try to prove to them how responsible i could be. Show them that you always complete  your assignments in class, get good grades and show them your responsibility outside of school. They are going to have to trust you at home alone all day, so they have to know that you wont just blow off all your work. Hope this helps! :]

  5. Tell your parents that Homeschooling is better than regular school because you will learn things better at your own pace. if your smart or not smart, you'll be able to focus and better understand stuff. Also, it gives you a comfortable feeling and you dont feel "peer pressured" to do as well as all the other students who have a 99.9 average. good luck!

  6. honestly i never really promote homeschooling because it leads to bad jobs when applying it wouldnt look nice when someone reads your resoumay and says you were homeschooled no offence
