How do i convince my dad to?

Well basically. At the moment, i'm building a mountain bike for general off-roading and mountaining obviously. But what it is, is that road cycling also been one of my favourite sports. And now, i'm really into it. But because i'm spending about £350 on the mountain bike building, a road bike costs about £230. And my dad doesn't know how much i want to road cycle aswell. So i would be spending like £600 plus on two bikes. Is that too much? The mountain bike won't do the roads. So how do i convince my dad to let me buy a road bike?

well, if it's your money, and you're buying something that's going to get a lot of use and you really want and will enjoy, why not? just casually bring it up with him, how much you enjoy it and how much use you would get out of both of them. mind you, it is quite alot if he is paying for both. good luck! x
