How do i convince my family to let me get hamsters?

Please help, i really want hamsters but...

My mum is afraid of them

My brother wants them he just doesn't want to see me happy

My dad is really hard to convince

I have a dog

HELP PLEASE!

tell your mom, she doesn't need to worry about them since you're gonna put them in your room.

to dad, just annoy him :D or when mum agrees, tell her to help ya out with daddeh.

Hamsters are really stinky so you have to clean out their cage every day if not every other day. That can get expensive buying food and litter. But they are easy to care for, just feed them and give them water everyday (They get INTO their water bowls to clean, so make sure you get a bottle water feeder too) My son had 2 for 3 years and we ended up letting them go, because no one wanted them. They were cute, but they stunk because he wouldn't properly clean out their cage on time. He decided to ge ta cat instead. (On the condition he clean the liter box and feed him.)

I will never get hamsters again, they are cute but they can get old.

Hamsters don't really like living together, so I would only get one, they get into fights sometimes, you should do some research before you talk to your mom and dad. You could buy a book about taking care of hamsters, or check it out of the library. It sounds lame, but then you can show you're willing to work for it to your mom or dad; "I've been researching hamsters because I really, really want one. I know that I can take care of it, especially after reading up on it, they only live for two- three years, and I'll be really careful so it doesn't escape."  you could also say "I want to learn to take care of something by myself." And, if you can go up to your local pet shop and write down prices for the cage and food, that also makes you seem more mature about wanting to get the hamster.
