Ordinarily i would try to convince her to stay (as i previously did), but she is not committed and she is better off just working at her part-time job. We have a flexible learning program where you can still get your high school degree but you just incorporate you work and do assignment on what you learn at your workplace etc.

problem is she insists on coming to school even though she always says yes to working when they call her up to work and its usually during school days all day and

the other times she is just wagging and tries to get me to wag too (but i don't coz im actually going to uni).

she is sooooooooooooooooooooooo behind in classes its not even funny.

so what do i do to convince her?

  1. She is her own person! You can't talk her out of going to school. As far behind as she may be it sounds bad that you would try to talk her out of it. If she wants to try, let her!

  2. You do nothing to convince her to quit! If her teachers/instructors actually cared about her and her grades, they'd do something about it. If she chooses to work instead of attending classes, that's her decision.

That little piece of paper that says you graduated...it carries a lot of weight. Employers don't like to hire people who haven't got a diploma. To some, it gives the impression, that the applicant didn't care enough to attend school, so they'd probably have the same attitude about coming to work.

Don't convince her...in the long run, she would end up blaming YOU for things that could happen because YOU talked her out of staying in school.

  3. You dont.  Let her fall on her own butt, make her own mistakes, and learn the hard way.  Her education is not your responsibility.

  4. You should convince her to get a GED. That way she can work and still get an education. She won't get anywheres without high school education and she's just throwing her life away.

  5. Did yoo ever think that maybe she doesn't just go to skool t learn but also for the social aspect that's y i went and i still got my grades.

  6. i agree with mrs_blasor entirely. of course, you care about her, but it's her choice in life, not yours.

  7. It's her life, If she falls on her butt, It's her own fault, Shes not your responsibility
