  1. I have a Jenday conure. He is a medium sized parrot.  You can buy a magazine like parrot talk or go on youtube to show her that a bigger size bird is more than a pet it is a companian.  Also tell her you understand its going to be a lot of work, but bigger birds are very affectionate and smart.  All the caring and training towards them will be worth it.

The cage I have is big enough for my bird and I got it at petsmart, it was a starter kit for conures for 190.00

  2. Finches are Great! Good for you, becuz you have finches!

  3. cockatiels are good. they make no loud noises and like to cuddle. budgies are even better though... there is green cheeked conures, they are smaller conures that make less nois and can have a smaller $200 cage. sun and jenday conures require a cage over $300 though they ar even better pets. im saving up for a jenday. we think were getting it today, but i dont know. i have to pay for it. $700 bird $300 cage $200 supplys. over $1000! but im not complaining. a parrotlet is a great bird. they look like baby lovies.  if you want a huge bird theres eclictuses and cockatoos, macaws, african greys amazons. but there not a first time bird and cost WAY too much. there is no cheep bird. the cage should cost over $100 evin if a small bird and the supplys should cost alot too.parrots are great birds. stay within the quakers parakeets and conures for a first bird though.

  4. tell her it builds responsibility and character

and cockateils are fun and cool
