  1. I think you should get a parakeet. (I have one myself) They are much cheaper (about $20) and are small. All their accessories are cheaper, and  smaller. To convince your mom, you should tell her this and that you will take care of it. Tell her how they are easy to care for and fun to teach tricks to. (I know that for a fact) Make sure you say the things that mothers want to hear, like how cheap it is and how it will be good for you too!! Enjoy and good luck!!

  2. well i think parakeets are cheper and friendlier. they dont eat as much. and they cost less. to convince your mom tell her this...

    they are not that loud.

    they are friendly.

    they are small.

dont cost that much to feed them.

    very cute!

    that should convince her!

  3. Hello.

If you want to convince your parents about giving to you something , you have to list all the good thing that you have done so far ...such as good grade , good kid , do house chores to help the mother ...Then ...sweetly come to a mother , give her a kiss and tell her ...Mom, I really really want this ...bird ...if I can have it , then I promise to take  good care of it , keep my grade , and clean it all by myself ...please mom ( say a magic word ...lol...) pretty please ? ( I used to teach kids in Public schools for 6 years , so I knew )

You also can tell your parents ...the parakeet ( from $ 15 _ $ 20 ) is cheaper than the cockateil ( $ 40 and up depedning the colors ) I sell a lot of hand fed parakeets to kids 6 years old and up ( ofcourse the parents took them here to help them choose and pay for it ) so I know ...it can be done , can happen ...it depends on you ...how good a kid are you ? How convincing ? Good luck ! ( Don't forget to give your parents a hug and a Thank you kiss ...lol...)  You can find the hand fed bird from www.hoobly.com to find a breeder near you . TM.

  4. Hey,

I have a budgie parakeet. If she lets you get any parakeet you should positively get a budgie. It is the best kind of bird to take care of. It is the easiest too. All you have to do is get a reasonable cage, water, food, mirror and bell toys -- different kinds of toys please. Get a sandy perch and a wood perch. The sandy perch files down his nails and the wood for a perch he recognizes. They love to swing on a swing and my bird sits on it every night when he is sleeping. They are small and sometimes they make nosies but they are cute and not annoying like somebody would think. They need attention too. They are fun to teach words to and teach it to go on your finger. Also, naming it is always fun! :) Also, when it is loosing it feathers, you can (you don't have to) but you can get a spray bottle from like the dollar store and spray the bird like 2 times and the bird would shake and it helps it.

They are soo fun to have. I hope you get it!

I have a lime green one and i named it Sprite (Middle name: The Might)

  5. A cockatiel is more expensive and lives longer (up to 20 years), but I have had both and they got along very well.

Try begging and crying, it works with me.
