How do i convince my mom into getting a guinea pig?

Question

I'd really want to have a pet and a i think guinea pigs are perfect!! They are big and easy to handle. Me and my two sisters want two guinea pigs. But my mom isn't sure she thinks they have a weird face and they would stink if we keep them in the house. How can i convince her into having them??

lol, weird face. sorry. just keep begging her untill she gives in. or do extra stuff to convince her that ur responsible enough to take care of one. i did that, now i have a bunny. and he just ate my hot chips....wtf?

guinea pigs are known to be one of the friendliest pets you can have and so are excellent for first pets as they are easy to look after and they are known for not biting humans like rabbits or hamsters might. dont know if that will persuade you mum but its worth a try:D

When I had to convince my mom to let me get a cat I made a "cat binder". First I did tons and I mean TONS of research on cats and then I found an old school binder in my house and just emptied it out and put all the information about cats that I found in it. I got those binder dividers and divided the information into sections, such as interesting cat facts (to get her interested in cats), cat food (I researched many different cat food brands to find the perfect one and in this section I wrote about all of my findings), cat and other pets (this where I told her getting a cat wouldn't cause problems with our other pets because...), cat and money (this where I told her that with my allowance and the money I had saved up I would be able to the buy the food and litter etc... but that I would need her help paying for the vet bills and my plan for making sure there was always money saved in case of an emergency vet trip)

So basically what I'm saying is make a "guinea pig binder"  where you put all of the information you find out about guinea pigs. You could make sections such as, the perfect cage, the best guinea pig food around, what to do about smells, etc...

And tell your mom that guinea pigs don't stink and the only reason there would be a smell is if the cages need to be cleaned.

Trust me the binder really works and shows how much research you've done on the animal of your choosing. I've had my cat Luna for over a year now and I still refer to the cat binder from time to time for information about cats or what to do in a situation regarding my cat.

you could help her around the house, help her with anything she needs help with. Guinea Pigs are stinky! I had one and it was like they weren't even there because they don't stink. They are really enjoyable. They are soo cute too! They aren't even that hard to care for. Good luck! -^ ^-

Show her that you're mature and responsible by helping out with chores around the house, etc.

This is how I convinced my Dad.

1) do research on them for 2 weeks.

2) Tell her that they aren't like hamsters and don't keep you up at night.

3) Print out cool pages for her to look at supporting the good facts.

4) write a letter to her saying how they teach responsibility, some cool facts, How you will take care of them, and how you will promise to pay for it all and clean their cage.

5) Give this to her in a good mood and show her the pet store or adopt one on line!

6) Have fun with your new piggy(s)!!!
