How do i convince my mom to get me a cell phone???

I'm 12 years old and my mom wont let me get a cell phone, how do i let her know that I'm responsible enough for one answer fast!!!!

tell her your in middle school and there may be emergencies. also, your mature enough to handle it and be responsible enough. tell her that you should go with a pre-paid phone then if you do good with that and take care of it that you can get a regular one!

then say "Mom, i could avoid these situations if i had a phone."
