You don't exactly need to physically go up to her to convince her. Show her that you can be responsible and that you would show your soon-to-be guinea pig love and affection. You should try doing your chores, bringing up that it's your birthday, your getting older and more mature, etc...I hope that you'll get a guinea pig!!!  Oh, and don't forget to be persuasive! Don't bring up all the negative facts! Bring the positive!

well i got a hamster by making a contract that says everything that  i'm  responsible for (make a lot of those points) and what my parents don't have to do(make a lot of these ponts too) and then i signed it and made a place for both my parents to sign they thought about it and i got a little hamster for my b-day!

If you want your mom to let you a get a Guinea pig then you need to show her that you are responsible enough to look after a pet, know a lot about Guinea pigs and Guinea pig care and have the time to look after your new pet.

You definitely need to research Guinea pigs before you buy them though and I'm guessing you haven't or you'd know Guinea pigs are social animals and you shouldn't buy just one you should buy two or three of the same s*x. It's also worth searching for a local breeder or visiting a rescue centre to get your pigs - most pet stores sell mass-bred animals that may develop health problems or show disturbed mental behavior.

Before you convince your mom to let you get a pair of Guinea pigs, convince yourself you are able to look after them - are you able to feed, clean and play with them every single day without fail for the next 5-7 years? Are you able to afford food, bedding and veterinary treatment? Do you have room for a large cage or hutch and space in the garden for an outdoor run? Can you find somewhere for your pigs to stay when you go away on holiday? If you can answer yes to all of these questions and have read some books or talked to other Guinea pig keepers then you are ready to get your pets - show your mom all you know about keeping them healthy and happy, where their cage will go in the house and how much time you will spend with them a day, and she should soon come around to your point of view - once you have Guinea pigs they'll make wonderful pets!

I would advise against getting them on your actual Birthday though as no matter how much you love animals, pets bought as gifts do have a certain novelty that may wear off. Also, new pets need to feel secure in a new home and if they enter your house on a day where there's lots of unusual activity going on you could freak them out and you may not have the time to settle them in properly on your Birthday.

As a mom I will tell you what would convince me to allow my child to have a pet...

Be responsible by keeping your room clean, and picking up after yourself.  Start thinking about ways that you can help around the house.  Showing your mom that you can be responsible is the best way to convince her to allow you to have a pet.  The number one reason parents decide not to allow their children pets is because they don't want to be stuck with the added responsibility of taking care of your pet.
