How do i convince my parents to buy me a new bed?

Question

Well, I think my bed and carpet have like bugs who come out and bite me and that's why I've been itching a lot.

My parents slept in my room before on my bed but they just say it's okay, nothing wrong with it.

so....

how do i convince my parents to buy me a new bed and carpet?

Break you current bed so they have no choice.

Or you could get a job and buy a new bed yourself.  I know that is easier said than done though.

theres bugs anyway,

the carpet is out of the question, cause, they can get expensive, settle for a 20$ rug at target's college dorm sale

as for a bed (u mean a mattress) if its old (older then 10 or so years, then u should get a new one)

otherwise wait a few months then break ur bed or ask them for a new one

have you tried vacuuming both the carpet and the bed ?? take the sheet off before you vacuum it and see if you notice a difference. Bed should be vacuumed at least once a month anyway. and when they ask you what you want for christmas, tell them a new matress for your bed.. they can go to Sams or BJs or Cosco's and get just a twin mattress for like 70 bucks... if the bed bugs are biting you its NOT good... go vaccuum it, that should help...

Several thoughts:

1) Make yourself indispensable around the house, i.e., do the dishes, clean the cat box, make yummy snacks (you get the picture).

2) Vocalize that you can't wait for high school to end so you can marry that Jamaican dude who's promised to buy you a new bed.

3) Start sleeping in the living room.

4) Make subtle, yet snide comments when your dad has friends over that he's not been successful enough in business to buy his daughter a decent bed and lately you've had to resort to sleeping on the couch.

5) Start spending the night with friends as much as possible. Also, increase makeup usage. When parents complain, blame it on poor sleeping conditions.

If i were you i would try to break the bed in a couple of months i would beak something on the bed like the part that holds the mattress then he would have to buy you a new bed

If I was u I would tell them that u r having really bad back aches when u get up in the morning, and u don't want to have a bad back at (how ever old u r). Then ask them if they could get u a new bed. Now to get them to get u a new carpet I would tell them that wen u walk on it that there are pieces of the carpet that are sharp and it hurts ur feet.
