  1. You should take care around the house more, show them you are are responsible. Cleaning, and doing things they tell you right away, and do things with out them asking.

  2. I have 4 cats and basically all you have to do is feed them and give them clean water everyday its not hard. Maybe you should ask them if you can get a small pet and if it works out and your responsible enough they might get you a cat. Research on cats and show them you will be responsible and you know about cats.

    x

  3. well think about this because i have two cats, they got fleas and i had to clean the whole house by my self becasue i wanted the cats. its h**l trying to chang the cat litter its disgusting. and my cat who is a boy is such a princess and pees on things and then you have to deal with the smell and the cat food smell and the bills for cats are more expensive then dogs when they go to the vets. and cats are so independent. but if you want one just be responsibele when they tell you to do stuff and save up your money and go to a ccat shelter and buy one

  4. You should start looking after things in the house like clean your room, the house and manage your time wisely. Show them you are responsible and do research of cats for the correct caring techniques and share it with your parents.

  5. You need to convince them you are RESPONSIBLE.

you do that by cleaning your room with out being asked.  (and really clean not just throwing stuff under your bed)

You need to offer to do the dishes/ vacuuming etc.

and do it for a while before asking for a cat.

SHOW THEM YOU ARE A PERSON THEY CAN RELY ON...

Most parents say no to pets because they know THEY will end up taking care of it eventually...

If you CAN'T DO THIS... then you shouldn't have a pet

good luck and get to work!

  6. do every thing that you do and be responsibly and your parents will trust you in getting cat or cats

  7. firstly kittens grow to cats... they dont stay little and cute forever, and they only way you would be able to "convince" them is to be responsible curently.. otherwise, there is alot that goes with having a cat.. firstly you have to get it spaded or nutered which can run you up to $200. then you have to get there shots every year which can run you up to $70 a year, also there is food and cat litter and flea treatment, toys and litter pans.. so all in all its about $50 a month.. so if you parents ar willing to give you all that money then go for it.. but if i were you i would wait till your old enuf to pay for the cat your self

  8. My sister had to have her be clean for 2-3 months to show my mom she was responsible enough to take care of a cat

  9. Will the theoretical cat have access to the outdoors? If not, who is going to clean out the litter box? Have you ever tried doing this? It's revolting. You need to practise looking after a cat for someone who's away for a week or two.

Also cats are very independent but they do add a lot to the cleaning rota because they shed hair. So as everyone else says, start helping out especiallly vacuuming, and stick to it. Ask your parents if they will let you 'earn' a cat and what they want you to do for it.

Who's going to pay for food and vet bills? You or your parents? If it's your parents, you'd best add cleaning the oven to the list of housework you're prepared to do (the worst job in the kitchen, your mum will love you for even offering).

Good luck. I just persuaded a friend to let his kids have a cat and he loves the kitty to bits because she's so little trouble.

  10. i would clean a lot and continue to show responsibility, also do some research about cats and show your parents that you can take care of it!

  11. tell them to get one ,keep it for a week and see how much they mind having cat.

  12. try cleaning ur house and acting all responsible until u get ur cat :P

  13. First, are you sure that you will feed the animal, change the litter box and do everything else that is needed. Many kids say they will do this, and the parents end up doing it. See if they will let you watch a relative or neighbors cat when they are con vacation. That way, they and more importantly you, can see that you are up to the task.

  14. Anna, Jasmine summed it quite well.
