How do i convince my parents to

get me the rumor from sprint k so listen...

they said they would get me the instinct and i was so excited thn they said no ur phone is fine. but 2 days before they said no they got my bro a phone and his pone was newer then mine they love us the same dont say they dont but my bros was his birthday present and so is mine so how do i convince them to get me a rumor

You probably should make a deal with your parents...

agree to do more chores around the house or something.

i would try to work for it or at least part of it...even if you cant get a job do odd jobs around the house...things that are above what youre suppose to do everyday

Ask your parents that if you pay for the phone will they get it or how about paying for half.  Most parents (including me) do not see the value of having the latest piece of equipment just to have it.  I understand that it is more of a status symbol than a real need, so convincing them to get you one is probably without you contributing is probably not going to happen.

Here is what i tell my daughter and this is what I will tell you.

"Girl, you better be happy that you even HAVE a phone. i don't care if it's 6 inches long and 4 inches deep- it's a cell phone, k? You can make calls, right/ You can recieve calls, right? No one cares what kind of phone it is. You will not become cooler with a different newer hipper phone. You'll still be you. If you want a better phone, save up money for one. i won't argue if you buy your own phone. Heck, I'll drive you to pick it up and help set up your number on your new phone. But honey, we cannot just keep buying a new phone every single time a new one comes out. There is a thing called contract, and until it is up- you keep the phone you have."

Wow, are some kids really this spoiled?  If you want the phone so badly and you're old enough to come on here and ask about it, then get a job to pay for it yourself.  If you want it so bad, then it should be worth earning.

How about you understand how fortunate you are to have a phone in the first place. You don't need a new phone unless your old one is broken, what kind of phone do you have now?

You don't. You suck it up and deal with it, you've already got a phone that works fine. Are you going to be paying for the phone? No? That's right, it's their money, so they get to decide whether or not you'll get the phone from them.
