How do i convince my parents to start/run a business?

They have random jobs. I went online and searched for businesses. I found a great one. But how do i convince them to run/buy a business.10 points to best answer. Neither of them have a business degree or went to college in the U.S.

Your best defense of the idea will come straight from your heart.  Explain to them, as you briefly have here, how much you believe in their potential, and how it hurts you to see them toil away at what you believe to be dead end jobs when they could accomlish so much more.  Let them know the upside of the opportunity that you found, and how you could help them to get started, at least initially.  Most people, especially people who are a little older and have worked for someone else, can be very intimidated by the idea of starting over, and being on their own.  Your encouragement and support of them may help them to get over this hurdle.

There is a whole lot of problems in  running your own business, some people haven't a clue as how to keep books, order supplys, or deal with the public. And their is also a factor in the investment of start up money. Do they have it, is it earmarked for something else??  Maybe they are just not up for it at their age. Or they health issues.
