How do i convince my teacher or counseler to put me into a different class?

this year i do pretty well in science but i was maybe 3 points off the average i needed to get into to earth science and i really want to go.

what should i do,ask,or say to my counselor to put me into earth science

You can certainly ask your counselor.  He/She will review your scores, will likely speak with the teachers to see if they think you would benefit and be able to handle the course.  Then they will need written permission from your parents to change if they all feel you could handle the material.  If, however, you are trying to get into an advanced or accelerated course, there may be strict score guidelines that must be followed, and if you didn't make the score, even by 1 point, then you will not qualify.  Good luck.
