How do i correctly type a movie title in a report?

  1. You underline titles of books and movies. you only use quotation marks for songs, quotes, and poems.


  2. It depends on whether you are doing an informal school paper, or drafting a legal document.  If it's just for English class, use the MLA format described by people above.  If it's a more serious document, use The Bluebook format, which follows:

    Cite films in large and small caps.  Include the name of the production company that aired the film.  I can't show you the format here, but you can do it on word by highlighting "Cinderella Man," right clicking, and choosing fonts.  Then hit "small caps."  The citation should look something like:

    CINDERELLA MAN (Universal Pictures 2005).

    i don't know a place that proves it, but i've used that whenever i name a movie in a report, and my teachers never mark it  as wrong.
