  1. Maybe instead of trying to parry everytime, hold your right towards the front of the side of the head and turn slightly to the left when he looks to be throwing a left. That will block either hooks or jabs.

You can then counter by turning your hips back to the right and throwing a hard jab, a hook, or even an uppercut when it gets easier.

Alternately you can hold you right hand like a mit infront of your left chin/cheek and throw a double jab straight through his jab that you can just catch with you right.

  2. im 13 but im better then a black belt, when he throws a hook you throw a straight puched in the face or where ever and when he throws jabs move to the side and throw hooks at him.

P.S. ive beaten up way bigger guys then me, and if he attacks since you have speed just keep punching like crazy with this tecnique and h**l be the one blocking. he has to block or get hurt, oh and if your punches are weak its useless to punch him rapidly.

  3. Personally I would'nt let him touch me. You know let him ware himself out then move in. Thats just me.

  4. I was jabbing my sparring partner to death until he changed tactics.  He simply blocked my jab every time.  Forced me away from my jab and I had no answers.  Just blocked my jab with his left.  So put your hand up and block it until he decides to do something else.

  5. Try not to parry if you want to punch back. You have to be pretty experianced and calm to parry and punch back. Its alot easier to either make him miss with head movement and then punch back or to use your feet in and out to counterpunch. Use your feet to move out when he punches, then slide in and punch back and when youre done punching get out of range again.

  6. do some counter-punching drills.

its where 2 boxers are practising.

1st will be the offensive while the 2nd will block/parry then counter punch (so the 1st blocks) and then follow through, then the 2nd is offensive and 1st will block/parry then counter and follow through with his own offensive.

keep going back and forth, so you both get used to seeing punches comming to you, blocking and counter-punching and then going into offensive mode and then block his counter punches and going into defensive mode.

  7. get up and close and just uppercut the fook out of him lets see him parry that, set the uppercut up so he tries to block it then throw an over hand right in the jaw whilst he aint blocking, or mix it up abit and go from head to body body to head head head body head

  8. just started sparring with a view to  what?

fight competitively, or just learn and have some fun you first need to ascertain what you are doing in the ring.

You sound like you are a guy with heart but not much ability (yet!).

You are for level you are at right now ( no disrespect ) being over matched in your sparring, you need to sparr with someone with a similar ability to yours, so you can build up your confidence, you will get a whole of you do this to counter that etc but if you lack experience and confidence you will not follow through with the knowledge.

    good luck buddy
