  1. Each PC will need a network card - gigabit to take full advantage of the switch.

    You will need Cat5E network cables from the switch to the network card in each PC.

    If you are going to share an internet connection you would run a network cable from the GS608 to one of the LAN ports on your router (usually provided by whoever provides your broadband internet connection). The same router will also pass out (DHCP) ip addresses to your PC's. The WAN port on the router needs to be connected to whatever bridge (cable modem, fios hub, dsl modem - sometimes the router and bridge are the same device) was provided by your broadband providor.

    If you are not going to share an internet connection you may still want to buy a cheap router to pass out IP addresses, or you can assign static IP's to each pc.

    Run the Network Setup Wizard (start->run->netsetup.cpl) on each computer using the 'This computer connects directly ...' option, and following instructions on each screen.
