Connect to the modem is a cable line, then the wireless router is connect to the modem. The router has 4 ethernet ports (or as most people refer to it as internet ports). The XP PC is connect to one of the ethernet ports in the router, and the Vista PC is connected through the wireless to the router. I don't know if you needed to know that, but i told you anyway. As the question states, How do i create a shared network for two computers, with Vista and XP OS's?

  1. I had this problem last year, you need a small component file which solves all Vista - Xp networking problems.

Unfortunately Microsoft fail to advertise this well enough for most people to find.

I've included the address where you can find this file (LLTD).
