How do i create a website like bebo and myspace?

I have an amazing idea but i have no idea how to create the website?

Is there a way that i can create a .com website free?

I live in the uk if that makes any difference?

If anybody can show me a website with demonstrations on how to create a website it would be very helpfull... thanks.

With no idea how to create even a basic website, creating something like myspace is dreaming a little big.

But hey...we all have dreams...

You will need to learn a few things before you even start to think about creating a website (which, you won't be able to do for free on this scale).

You will need to learn XHTML and CSS first. That will get you into the design aspect.

Then, you need some scripting language experience. Hopefully, you have some computer programming experience. Without it, you have a LOT to learn. PHP and ASP are the two standard languages, although you will only need one...

You will need to know how to create and manage a database. So, you will need to learn SQL and how to integrate it with PHP or ASP.

Websites like Myspace and Bebo have teams working on different aspects. They have a team of expert designers. A team of programmers. A team of Database administrators.

They also had the advantage of getting into social networking on the ground floor. Now, you have some serious competition to go up against.

If you're up for it, it will take you a solid year or so just to learn the stuff you need to know (unless you make learning your full time job..then you can get basic working knowledge up and running in maybe 6 months).

As you can see, these kind of websites are very complex and have very experienced and talented people working on them. Again, not trying to destroy any dreams...but you should know that you have a massive battle to fight if you want this to work out.

code. there are many things out there where you dont have to code it, but they arent free. I tried looking, but i was looking for free stuff. Google or Yahoo! the words "create social network". good luck

and remember that a whole team created myspace and bebo and face book and websites like that. not just one person.

well do you know html? if so then yes probably you could but first youd have to buy a domain name and some other things. bluehost.com is a good place to go for a domain name and other stuff
