How do i create an administrator account on my mac when i'm in a limited account?

Ok so i just got a brand new school laptop. it is a macbook with the new leopard installed, and they give us very limited accounts so i cant really install anything. so i want to know if there is any way i can make an administrator account with out messing with any of the other accounts. i know how to open the command prompt and tryed other peoples ways to do it but none of them work... PLease help me!!!!
