How do i cure a migrain?????

I get chronic migraines, I have since I was a child. If you can't take any pain killers whatsoever [Alieve is the best, always works for me] Then try laying down in a dark, quiet room. A cold compress at the back of the head where your head meets your neck is good. Or try a warm compress over your eyes. Coffee always works for me too, my doctor actually tells me to do that before taking any meds. The stronger the coffee the better, because it loosens up the blood vesels in your head which are constricting, causing the pressure and pain. I find energy shots I buy at gas stations or pharmasies also help. Energy drinks, tea, soda, and or chocolate might help you if you are sensitive to caffine. If things don't get better, go to the doctor and get a shot of emetrex, or get perscribed either Zomig or Maxalt, two very strong migraine medicines that work for almost everyone. Or if you want just a general pain killer that works for almost everyone, but is a low grade narcotic, not a hard core one like vicodin, try Tramadol. Also called Ultram. It always always helps me when nothing else does.

In the meantime try to avoid alcohal, strong smells, bright lights especailly that pulse or flash, and loud noises. And DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

If you can't take pain killers about all you can do is lie down in a very dark,very quiet room with a cold pack on your forehead and try to sleep it off. If it goes on too long-see a doctor you may need a shot of pethadine.
