How do i deactivate my ipod shuffle from itunes if i have forgot my password?!?!

Question

I need to deactivate my ipod from itunes on my computer because i am selling it.. but i have forgot my password, i know my id!

Anyone know if there is something i can do to find out my password or change it so i can deactive it =/

you don't deactivate your ipod shuffle - what you do is pair it to another computer and that erases everythign on it.

create a new user account.

log-in to the new user account

open itunes make sure its has a blank library and no store settings

plug in your shuffle and when it says pair with this computer say yes.

then check update software.

the shuffle will then be blank for selling.

if you forget your password there is a link you can click on  in itunes and they will email it to you .your user name is usually your email address so put that in and look for the forgotten password link in i tunes.
